OCZ 60GB Vertex 2E SSD

Hey guys,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post?

Anyhow...ive decided im going to treat myself and buy an SSD drive.

This one:

OCZ 60GB Vertex 2E SSD
2.5" SATA-II
Read 285MB/s Write 275MB/s 50,000 IOPS

The right choice? its £119...which isnt too bad considering the price of some others.

Appreciate any replies

I have the OCZ Vertex 2 60GB, and I have no complaints about it at all. It is fast. You will not be disappointed.

You might also double check at the OCZ link below to make sure that it has the latest firmware for it installed.

Awesome thats good to hear,Would you recommend just installing the OS and the stuff i use the most like small apps such as antivirus and maybe just 1 game like Bad company 2 to the drive...everything else on my spinning drive?

These are my current hard drive benchmark

15 seconds access time....its so slow!

I would put whatever you can fit onto the SSD. Keep things like music files and video rips and such on the spinning drive.

I would install whatever you liked on the drive as long as you leave about 10GB free at all times so that Windows 7 will have working room. If you run low, you can always just move or install it on the spinning drive later.

If you need to save space though, I would store anything like music, pictures, or install anything that you do not run often on the spinning drives.
