I have an OCZ Vertex 2, 60TB SSD I use for boot/apps. A 150GB Raptor for storage.
The other day I downloaded the latest OCZ Toolbox to do some checking/maintenace. The Toolbox could not find my Vertex drive. I inquired around and was advised the Toolbox only works with Windows AHCI drivers and not Intel drivers.
Now I have been taken on Snipe hunts before. Even have gone looking for a bucket of steam for the power house. But I have a long memory. Even though it is "write only" sometimes.
Was the advice given me plausible?
If so how would I remove the present driver and install a Win7 one?
I have imaged this drive so I can try things without fear. Those Snipe hunts taught something.
