Solved Odd marker on drive icons in Computer - anyone recognise them?

Noticed these yellow markers next to my C and E drives. They may have always been there but only just took any notice of them. Anyone know what they mean?

Thanks for that info. The System Reserved partition on Disc O should not have a drive letter on it, so remove the K. You should be able to do that by Right Click that drive when in Computer & select Rename & just remove the K. It should only be known as System Reserved.

Your disk 2 or drive E is a 3tb drive & Windows 7 will only handle big drives up to 2tb. You could partition that drive so one partition is 2048gb or 2tb & the balance will remain unallocated & unusable, or you could read through this MS website info on maximum drive sizes in Windows 7.

Win 7 can handle DATA drives larger than 2.2 TB if they are initialized as GPT.
This works even with a Legacy BIOS/MBR PC, where the boot drive is initialized as MBR.
I wouldn't re-partition the 3TB DATA drives.

Also, both D and E are 3 TB drives, but only E has this "yellow indicator".
If a > 2.2 TB drive is used as a BOOT drive, that's different, but i don't see this here.

The System Reserved partition is 2.07 GB.
Normally System Reserved is 100 MB, or up to 500 MB for Win 10.
I don't know why that partition is so much larger than "normal".

I would check Device Manager to see if there are any errors indicated for these drives.

I'm not sure if this indicator is in the icon, or a separate indicator next to the icon.
I looked at the icons in C:\WINDOWS\System32\imageres.dll and i don't see this icon.
Can you hover the mouse over the yellow indicator and see if there is any pop-up info ?

Ok, thanks for all the help. I've just realised it's my Carbonite online backup showing which drives have folders that are backed up! Thanks anyway!
