Odd Startup Dialogue

Whenever I boot into Windows, right after I log in to my account (there are no others on the computer), it gives me the "select a program" dialogue box for a file called "Adam." This is my username, and surely enough it exists, alone, just a generic "file" in the "Users" folder.

This dialogue is odd, but if this is common/heard of before, would it be damaging to delete this random file?

You might want to open up msconfig and have a look under the startup tab for a startup item named Adam. It sounds like a file is being run that has no default program associated with it. Windows doesn't know what to use to run or open it. Maybe something in your startup folder?

No such thing. I just opened it up with Word (it's just Unicode text), and it's a bunch of wireless configuration stuff. I'm going to have someone else I know look at it as well.
