Solved Office 2007 licenses

I have Office Home and Student 2007, but I cannot find my disk. I do have my key and I downloaded the installation file from Microsoft, but my main question is this. Without the disk cover or disk, how can I found out if my license was for 3 users or just 1? Is it in the "Help" section when I launch Excel or Word? Or is there some file in the folder structure that tells me?

Can you remember whether you bought an OEM version or a retail version?

If you bought the OEM version you can only install it on one computer. If you bought the retail version you can install it on up to three computers.

If you want to be absolutely certain, download and run Belarc Advisor, which will take an inventory of your computer including the product keys for any software you have installed.

If you see a product key for Office 2007 in this format - xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx - then you know it is OEM software that can only be installed on one computer.

Okay thanks. Ran Belarc and it shows Office 2007 as not OEM in the numbering. It is all numbers.

In that case you have a retail version, which is good for three computers.
