I have a quite irritating problem: every time I try to save a document as pdf, it fails.

I have this with all my big documents, but strangely enough when I create a new document and put one line of text in to try out, it works without issue.

The error I get is the following (also attached to post):

(it's in dutch, translated it says literally: "Failed to export file to pdf due to unknown error.")

When i install office in exactly the same way on a Virtual Windows XP (under Virtualbox), copy exactly the same file to the virtual machine, and click on save as pdf, it works like a charm.

I have the latest updates for Office 2007 (SP2). Also with SP1 or vanilla Office 2007 with the old plugin from MS, it's a no go under Windows 7 RC x64. Can anyone provide a solution?

I have tried setting permissions, saving to different folders... etc. I'm at a loss :(

Hi, I had the same problem in Windows 7. It turns out it was Kaspersky antivirus beta. When I disabled Kaspersky, it worked fine.

I have yet to find out how to make it work without disabling Kaspersky.
