I hate to admit it, but you are right. Windows 8 beta in aisle 8, soup in aisle 9, Office 2010 beta in aisle 10 - it all makes sense now.

I'm pretty sure aisle 11 has spinach, I hate spinach.

Oh i have nothing against my greens, just there s a few i like to keep my distance (Spinach, Brussel Sprouts, Beans)

Obviously you guys have never tired it with some nice pasta with pesto sauce and with it mixed in. Or spinach lasagna with meat or chicken or pure vegies. Italian food does wonder to all those green stuff you guys seem to not like.

I got really bored and read through the FAQ section of the office beta site.

The beta will last until Oct. 2010. I wonder if the testing will beat the amount Windows 7 had. lol

it wont, because also leaks of office2010 are less popular then leaks of win7 where.

That doesn't mean anything. More people were willing to risk it for Windows 7, less so for a program that if it was an infected copy, it could kill your install and all your data.

Those who were downloading leaks during the beta/RC phases usually had backups of their data. So my guess is there will be a lot of people using the software during the legit beta phase. Only time will tell though. Hoping the time starts tomorrow!

It will basically be a test version of the new Microsoft Office 2010. It will be free, and it will expire in October, 2010.

Use it at your own risk, as Microsoft does not take any responsibility for problems that occur from using Beta (or any) software. They sometimes apologize though!

Hi all

If Office 2010 has an expiry date which means one will have to revert to a previous version of Office this will obviously be NO good for businesses -- OFFICE documents / data are often collectively worth FAR MORE than the hardware they are run on.

It's quite one thing updating a computer to a new version of an OS - but it is a totally different matter to get a new Office program accepted. Sometimes spread sheets / presentations etc are quite old but still have loads of complex macros in them.

A very complex application in common use is the SAP BW/BI business data warehouse / data mining system which integrates a huge amount of OLAP (Online Analatyical Processing) into Quries which are transferred to EXCEL - the Bex or Query explorer is tightly linked to Excel and if this doesn't work then for a lot of people it's a no-no.

maybe if in cali you could stop by. we eat it quite often, that sometimes i actually feel sick of eating it.



As for office 2010, ill wait till it comes out. I still really like 2003 if only it was a bit flashy with aero. 2007 is so annoying even though i know how to use it. I can get used to things, but 07 office was and still is not streamed and flowing?". Might be the clutter.
