Hi,
I apologise if this has already been posted but I have recently upgraded most of our company to windows 7 and office 2010, we have spread sheets dating back to the 90s in .xls format, we store these on a file share and when we try and access them it takes a good couple of minutes to download them and open them, now if I do open them and save them as a .xlsx format they open a lot faster, has any one had this problem or is it a coincidence?
Is there a way to convert these files automatically as its not really viable for us to open and resave thousands of spread sheets and word documents?
Thanks in advance
Liam
