Hi all,
We keep getting a blue screen on our "file server" machine. (we run a P2P network setup for the time being).
We will be working like normal, and then lose connection to the machine. (This is when the an apparent blue screen happens and the computer automatically restarts itself).

When I log back in to the computer, it states that windows recovered from an error...

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
BCCode: d1
BCP1: 0000000000000001
BCP2: 0000000000000002

If needed, I'll grab the remaining portion of the code the next time it resets. This has been happening at least once a week for the past 2 months or so. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi DisIsSewious,

Welcome to the 7forums.

Everytime Intel Rapid Storage Technology is trying to move memory content to the disk, this however goes wrong (pagefault).
I suspect Norton is causing the pagefault as it is being flagged everytime.
Please reinstall Norton with a new download file
I would suggest to update Intel Rapid Storage Technology, because it is outdated

Hi again!

Thanks for the reply. Last Monday (25th) I did as you suggested & uninstalled Norton. I havent reinstalled it just yet, as I wanted to see if we would get the blue screen error again.

Well, the day has come. Next on the list will be to update the Intel Rapid Share Technology (i've already downloaded the file, just have not updated it yet).

Find attached the new BSOD report...as well as screen captures of the error.

This new crash is caused by the Intel Rapid drivers.
The same has happened, Intel Rapid Storage Technology attempted to move memory to the disk (pagefault), but as always with this crash accessed an invalid memory address while the priority (IRQL) for taking the action was too high.
The IRQL should be 0 for normal execution, 1 and 2 is for certain Windows mechanisms, 3 and higher is for the hardware.
Code:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If kernel debugger is available get stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000001, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
Arg4: fffff880010bb5dc, address which referenced memory

So are you saying updating drivers should fix it....or is something set to an incorrect value and needs to be switched?

We've had the computer for about 2 years now...and it only started doing this in November or so... Could an update have caused this error?

The drivers are outdated, you should always frequently check for driver updates for everything (not through any program!)
