I'll let you know in 10 minutes.

Edit:
Word Works but it will crash if you try to load a newer Office Doc.

Office XP runs like a raped ape on my HTPC, and it's only an E6750 dual core.
I just ran all the apps and they just open up instantly.

Yes, Office XP works with win7 but there may be a compatibility issue with Outlook 2002 (which is included in Office XP) not saving passwords in win7. See here.

Outlook on Vista and Win7

So, basically Office XP will work fine, only the Outlook integration will not work. Best way to work around that is to custom install Office, leaving out Outlook. You can download and use Windows live mail instead.

OS
Windows 7 x64 pro/ Windows 7 x86 Pro/ XP SP3 x86
I'm not surprised it installed, not even surprised some apps work. The issue is stability and compatibility.

Yeah, Outlook would be the problem; it usually is the culprit that causes problems in Office.

I would just forgo XP and go with either 2003, worked like a champ for me in Vista till I upgraded to 2007. Or you could go with 2007 which also worked great under both Vista and Windows 7.

Or..... you could just move to 2010 which works like a dream under Windows 7 :)

Word & Excel work fine, no issues whatsoever. I never installed Outlook because I'm using Win Live Mail. Newer Office files (e.g., DOCX) can be used by dling a compatability pack.
