My first news. Don't be harsh.

As Microsoft unveils the release candidate to TechNet and MSDN customers today we at Neowin wanted to answer that burning question, what is the difference between all these Windows 7 versions?

Microsoft supplied us with the following diagrams
and we thought about re-doing them and making them pretty but they are what they are so without further ado....

More here :
Windows 7, what's the difference between the editions?
------------------------------------------------
That is the official list of features and comparision charts. I can't tell if Neowin is a good source though. The news was posted on April 30 2009.

This may be a dumb question but how about the ability to create a system image? I see "advanced back-up" there but I don't think that's it. I want to know if Home Premium is going to have "create system image" in it. I can't seem to find out.

Well, in the first graph thing, it shows Back-up and Restore, so I assume thats what you are reffering to. Its available for Home Premium. :)

This is interesting though, thanks for the information Lebon14.

But, you can see "advanced Back-up (Network and group policy)" for Pro & Ultimate only

Under Vista you have the Back-up feature but with HP edition you can only backup data, you must have Pro editionfor System Back-up

Hard to say if Seven will have the same difference.

Why do people make a big deal out of multiple versions? Everyone bashes Windows Ultimate. Sounds like they are jealous because they can't dish out $200 for the top product.

Just read the friggin' comments on that page.
