oh god I just erased my volumes accidentally

Please help, I know it can be recovered but I dont know how.
I have not created a new volume over it...

I am already doing it with EaseUS data recovery Wizard. It says there is 5 hours remaining. Hopefully it will get done with all the files needed. They are propietary aplications and stuff. Do you know if this program recovers absolutely all type of files?

Any files that have been overwritten will be difficult, if not impossible, to recover -- regardless of the file type, or the tool used.

Yes, it recovers the entire partition, warts and all. Since you never created a new volume, the chance of success is reasonably high. Be patient and let it do its work.

No, you are using Easeus Data Recovery which is not the same operation as an unDelete performed by Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help. I'm sorry this was not realized before.

Now watch the video so you can see how its done. Hopefully the unnecessary file recovery hasn't squandered the chance to do a simple unDelete which restores the entire partition intact when all that was done was deleting it.

However if you formatted the partition afterwards then chances of recovering the partition OR the data are slim.

ok, the program is prettty sloppy, i achieved recovering some good data, but it is pretty disorganized and stuff, actually a lot of data is lost i think, i have to verify, but at least it saved my day, thanks you all

Once you get your data recovered, get an external HDD (or an internal HDD and an external dock) and back that data up so, if something ever goes wrong again, you won't lose your data again.

You should not have jumped to Data Recovery before attempting to simply undelete the partition using Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help.

Your data is not lost unless you formatted the partition. It is there and waiting intact for the Wizard to reconstruct the Partition Table which is all the delete or Clean command deletes.

We have helped many others do this successfully so I hate to see it be fumbled this way IF you only deleted th e partition and have not formatted over it.

Ok. It seems (I was desperate) that mistake was costly. Partition recovery wizard is not retriving my data, after scanning nothing happens, I cannot even double click to explore contents.

I am willing to buy some software that can do it. Any recommendations?

EaseUS Data Recovery worked but the files lost their names and everything is very disorganized, which makes it useless.

There's a lag in information whenever you're using a forum. It sounds like OP was already under the gun, but patience is essential if you're using the forums to solve an emergent problem. Hi amoretam,

If you had simply deleted the volumes, it only deletes part of the partition table in the HDD's first sector pointing to the start sectors of those partitions and an immediate recourse to Partition Recovery Wizard as suggested by Golden and insisted by Greg )) would have perhaps restored your partitions easily.

Now since you had used some sort of data recovery, we are not sure in what way it could have scrambled the data in its effort to get at it.

But yet we may give it another shot.

1. Please post a screenshot of how your problem disk shows up in Windows Disk Management. (Full screen after hiding the Console Tree and action Panel with the Tool Bar buttons)

2. Also post a screenshot of how it looks in Partiton Wizard.

Yesterday was a good day for me when I had successfully tutored another OP to recover the lost partitions in his system drive. Halfway through it itself, I had referred it to you in post #12. Now that it has been successfully resolved may be you should have a look at it again and give PW another shot.

I would advise that you power cycle your PC before you start afresh with Partition Wizard.

The only thing I would add is if Quick Scan does not find the partitions, you should initiate a Deep Scan and wait patiently for it to finish. We will give up PW only if Deep Scan also does not find the partitions.

( Since its already time for me to retire and I would not be following this thread for the next ten hours or so, it is open for others to help you.)

I shall however close the day saying that if Deep Scan also does not find the partition, you have no other choice but to go for data recovery. I would recommend PhotoRec. http://www.sevenforums.com/software/193467-guide-using-photorec-recovery-software.html

Simply deleting a volume ... it's easy to recover. Just undelete with partitioning software. It's takes 3 seconds to complete. At least.... if you did delete a partition (most of the the time people put a volume in a partition).

Don't use data recovery yet! I read other advanced users say that as well. Did you write anything in the diskspace where the partition was? Or did you just do a data recovery (only read) and write the results to another disk?
