Ok so having a really weird problem

So i reinstalled windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1.
I mention this is genuine windows not a hacked version.
I updated all drivers and everything that needs to be done.
My problem is this.
I wanted to play some games online so i turned on the microphone.
Speech recognition works fine , picks up sound and everything says is ok and my microphone working.
I checked at recordings and when i speak the "green bar" shows my mic is picking up sound.
But there is a problem
I cannot record my sound ? .... it pick up my voice and sound but not outputing my voice at all.
Brand new mic.
I cannot do it either on games ,or recording or calling somebody
Nothing ?
Anybody could have an idea what is going on.
I also switched to the back end of my pc but is the same problem

If you want to record the sound being picked up by the microphone, you could try Audacity:
