Solved Having a REALLY weird mouse issue.

Trying the speed settings didn't help but it seems carwiz had the same issue and pretty much only fix is that program he mentioned or to get a new mouse.

Mice are relatively cheap. It's amazing to think of how much use these things get in terms of hundreds of clicks per day and miles of scrolling over a year. Your toaster would not stand up to such use.

My mouse has recently started to show the initial signs of failure. This thread has inspired me to shop a new one today.

I have never wore out a mouse. I get new ones just looking for something better.
At the present I'm using 2 Microsoft 5000. They do work well.

For me there are certain things I get, use, and never think about again. Like Keyboards, mice, and internet browsers. I think this keyboard and mouse was bought for a system I build in 2004.

I just got my new Das 4 Professional mechanical keyboard look for one that helps keep the strain of of my wrist and such when typing. It is great but it's going to take a little getting use to.

Any idea where I can find that program that was mentioned that can fix the double clicking issue I am having?

Lets try something simple.

Start Globe and type folder options and tick on it.
In General go to Click items as follows. Select either Single or Double, Apply, OK

Note:
What ever is checked select the other one and then go back to what you want. Then Apply and OK.

This may just reset things in Windows 7.

I'll try this and see if it works. Sadly It didn't.
