I need to clean redundant files \ folders etc from the registry etc. I have tried CCleaner and Gary Utilities. Gary Utilities did a alright Job, and those are the best I could find for the task, that is relatively safe, and won't put my PC into a tail spin.

I recommend not doing this because false positives could get deleted, and this can do bad things, including severely crippling Windows. Cleaning the Registry is like taking a Word document that has about 500 million characters and removing about 1,000 just to make it open faster. It's not going to make any difference. If it does, then it is just the placebo effect.

You don't "need" to do anything to your registry in 7. Its not like xp in that regard.
