hi all

my problem is as follows

i wus playing "Rift" with a geforce gts 250... played it for couple of weeks when suddenly while i wus playing my screen goes BLACK
(i didnt do anything in particular)

the computer also kept on beeping.... so i shut it down with the power button...

when i restarted pc a bit later.. no more image .. only a black screen.
my 1st tought.... gfx card fried...

later on a friend of mine comes by with 3 other cards.. 2 new ones (also geforce gtx but dunno what model exactly) and an old ati eax 600xt...

now the point is we tested the three cards and only the 600xt works.. the 2 others give the same black screen.

they were all tested in the same pci slot...

Make and model number of the power supply? 700W doesn't mean much, as a cheap one will perform worse than a good quality 400W. The x600 is also likely the only card you tested that doesn't require a connection to the power supply.

And something like this,

Speccy - System Information - Free Download

will help with identifying the components in the computer.
