Old outlook express message to Windows Live Mail

I have migrated all my mail messages from outlook express to Windows Live Mail.
Everything went OK, except that WLM won't import message from before august 20, 1997.
Any ideas?

Dont know what the problem but this is the correct import procedure. Is that what you are doing?

That's the procedure for Windows Mail (Windows Vista) and I am using Windows Live Mail (Windows7), but the procedure is almost identical.
I copied the OE files to the Windows7 machine and then imported the messages.

If those are messages in OE4 (or 5?), I believe you would have to import them into OE6 before importing into WLM.
At least I seem to recall something like that when Vista came out.
Windows Mail couldn't import the older format, and I expect WLM is the same.

Nope. Messages are coming from OE6.
