Welcome to SevenForums bksalt :).

Must of the stuff you have mention works in Win 7. I used Office 2003 prior to an invite to test Office 2010. The oldest version of Photoshop was CS2. Win 7 offers the use of Virtual PC for Win 7 along with XP Mode (XPM), both are in RC versions, and can be downloaded via Microsoft Download). The Virtual PC along with XPM allows you to run XP legacy applications. One problem with MS's Virtual PC is you must have the Virtual Chip installed within the hardware of your computer. Albeit, there are a couple of good Virtual Machine applications available: Virtual Box, and VMware's Workstation that can be used to run XP, or any other OS you might want to run. Hope this gives you some ideas. :)

Appreciate the response with a good explanation Time to get a new computer and I love my old software, us older users don't like change so this change might not be so bad.

I agree all the mentioned software seems to run fine in Win 7. As far as change, I tend to resist it like the pleague. Right now I am building a new pc just to run XP (old machine died a horrible death) which I have already done for Win 7.

I love the idea that MS has finally took a step in the right direction to allow a new OS to run old applications. The ultimate layout of dollars is far more for software than a new pc and operation system will ever cost.

That is just my opinion.
