Hi folks,

The only time I get this particular BSOD is when I have my nvidia video card installed. Could that be the problem, or am I just imagining it? I get another crash with my AMD video card

Do I just need a new motherboard? I hope I followed the instructions correctly.

Thanks!

Please go to Windows update and in the left column select change settings, in the dropdown box select check for drivers but let me decide what to install.
Please go to control panel, category view, uninstall programs and uninstall all display drivers, AMD and Nvidia. follow this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/83814-drivers-clean-left-over-files-after-uninstalling.html select both AMD and Nvidia then begin with step 9 in this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/327414-nvidia-drivers-avoid-problems.html. See if you have any better luck with youe Nvidia Card.

tresrottn, I really don't expect that to solve your problem. But, if you have AMD and Nvidia drivers installed at the same time, you will more than likely have a lot of issues. They normally don't get along well. Just uninstalling them from Add/Remove Programs will not completely uninstall them.

A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error

The all o's in argument 1 means it can't identify what the exact problem is, just that there was one. To the best of my belief, that also means the rest of the arguments mean nothing.

The only thing we have to go on is that it identifies audiodg.exe as the faulting process. That faulting process may be the cause or it may be the victim of what actually caused the crash, it was just what got caught crashing.

Please try to update the driver.

ok, so keep an eye on it, see if it crashes again and collect the next set of logs? I did notice when I reinstalled the nvidia drivers that it auto installed their audio drivers (wouldn't let me uncheck it).

Ok, it did it again a couple of more times. The last BSOD (about an hour ago) kinda freaked me out, Windows didn't want to restart, so I powered off, disconnected the power, and held the power button for about 10 seconds, and got it back on. I just went into safemode and uninstalled the NVidia card and reinstalled my AMD card.

There are 2 dump files we have already looked at 11/29 and 11/30. There is no dump file for last night. See if the card makes a difference. I would make sure you only have one brand of drivers in your system, the ones for whichever card you have installed at the moment. The symptoms you described sounded to me to be a classic failing PSU, or voltage regulator on the Motherboard.
