Hey guys sorry I have been away, but I have been really busy. I had originally posted here a few days ago cause some BSOD's. Someone had pointed that it had to do wiht my NETIO.Sys when I uploaded my dmp file. I had updated the network drivers which Windows did and I did not have problems since until tonight. I just got 3 BSOD's back to back and I really would like to try and pinpoint what is wrong with my computer. I really wanna know if I have a defective part or something so I can RMA whatever it is before my RMA date is gone. I uploaded the 3 zip files that I just got. Can somebody please take a look at them for me and let me know if any helpful information can be found in them.

Hey Ken I really appreciate your help man, you don't know how much it means. Yes that was what you said the other day, NETIO.SYS. Umm no i do not have raid, but I do have Norton 360 3.0....and this system was just built about 2 weeks ago maybe? I do not remeber exactly so it was a clean install but also, I had do a reinstall hoping that it would help and it did not. I had updated my network adapters since I did a search and saw people refer to their network cards. I had try and locate the netio.sys file like you told me to do but I was not able to find it.

After I let windows install the new drivers for my network adapters it did not BSOD until tonight, that was about September 10th. I was wondering if it was a processor problem or something, but I dunno anymore at this point.

Hey just a quick thought. I have been doing more quick research on this Netio.sys file. I still do not know who to locate the file as windows search gives me nada, but after doing some looking around. Some are saying that 3rd part virus protections and cause issues with the netio. So being that I have Norton 360...I am wondering if it is interfering with the netio and the onboard LAN and is causing the BSOD's with windows reporting it has an 7f error meaning a hardware issue. I do not get like a specific error message on the blue screen...like "Kernel_whatever_whatever." So any thoughts on this?

Remove Norton for a while, and see if it helps.. I ran Anti Virus free for several weeks with Windows 7, then installed AV, ran scans, and every scan I found, turned up nothing.. You should be safe to run sans AV in an effort to troubleshoot if it is Norton that is hanging netio.sys..

Norton will cause issues and won't tell you about it.
Also, be sure that you're up to date on Windows Updates - I read an article today (either a 0x7e or 0x7f) that had to do with an error in that file (netio.sys) that required a hotfix to repair.

I'll get back to you on that after I run the dump files....

They're STOP 0x7F's not 0x7E (which is the one with the hotfix).

If you are overclocking, please reset the system to default settings (no overclocking) until we're finished troubleshooting this problem.

The most common reason for the STOP 0x7F is failing memory modules. I'd suggest that you run a bootable memory diagnostic on your system. Here's a link to a how-to on my website: Memory Diagnostics
Please post back with the results of the memory diagnostic and we can move on from there.

You also have these older drivers on your system - I'd suggest updating them:
Code:
livecamv.sys 2/5/2007 5:36:46 AM [U][B]Creative Livecam driver[/B][/U]
OEM05Vfx.sys 3/5/2007 6:55:47 AM [U][B]Creative Camera OEM005 Video VFX Driver[/B][/U]
OEM05Afx.sys 6/8/2007 4:00:36 AM [U][B]Creative Camera OEM005 Video VFX Driver[/B][/U]
Rtlh64.sys 6/25/2007 1:37:13 AM [U][B]Realtek Networking driver[/B][/U]
OEM05Vid.sys 7/20/2007 2:37:49 AM [U][B]Creative Camera OEM005 Video VFX Driver[/B][/U]
This article states that a Double Fault (which you are getting) is most commonly caused by an malfunctioning kernel mode driver (but hardware is a close second): General causes of "STOP 0x0000007F" errors

Normally a Windows component (such as netio.sys) is presumed to be good unless we've got other evidence that points to it (which we don't have here). But it does give us a clue that this issue may be due to networking issues.

Also, visiting Windows Update should take care of most issues with the file if it is a problem.

Also, there's mention of tcpip.sys in the stack text - which further points to networking issues. Add to this the outdated networking driver (Rtlh64.sys) and we're pretty sure that that's the problem here.

So, go to Realtek and download the appropriate Win7 driver for your OS (32/64 bit) and network card. If they don't have Win7 drivers, download the appropriate Vista driver.

Then uninstall the current Realtek drivers from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program. Then check in Device Manager...Network Adapters to ensure that it's uninstalled. If it's not, then right click on it and select "Uninstall"

Then install the freshly downloaded driver. If it's a Vista driver - right click on it, select Properties, then select the Compatibility tab. Click on the "Change settings for all users" button, then select "Run as Windows Vista" and "Run as administrator". Click on OK to exit the dialogs, then double click on the driver to install it.

Reboot an monitor for further BSOD's.

Thank you guys so much. Sadly I have RMA'ed the motherboard cause last night I did acutally found out about the realtek drivers in another forums to get it directly from their site and update it that way. After I did that, one of the ethernet ports on the mobo is dead. I have tried several attempts to reinstall the drivers and also made sure the update did not disable the ethernet ports in the bios. No luck, so I just ended up returning the board for a replacement which I will not get until probably next week or the week after.

As for the memory I did do several memory test before and came up with nothing, using a bootable CD and also using windows diagnostics tool. However, I still have the board here so maybe i'll decided to give it a shot according to your steps and see if I get any memory errors. When I recieve my replacement board I will come bump back up this thread. However if I decided to run the mem test tonite for seven passes I will report back, I will not run it overnight since I want to drop of the mobo at the ups store early in the morning. Thanks so much, I really appreciate the feedback.

Update on RAM test. I did 3 passes of the RAM test and no errors came up. I would run it over night but I have to get the mobo ready for the morning to drop it off by the ups store. When I recieve my replacement board, I will up date the RealTek network adapters again, and run the mem test again over night and will look for this thread again and bump it back up with a post. So till then I will be browsing the forums and see what's going on. Thanks again.

Please consider starting your own thread. That gives your issue the best chance of getting some attention, plus it keeps the original thread focused on the OP's issue.
