I have a custom built PC with windows 7 x64

I have 2x 500GB Seagate hard drives (C drive & E drive) which have both always been running fine.

Only this morning I turned my PC on but it could not see E drive. I have checked the connections but there is nothing disconnected. I cant seem to understand why it has disappeared all of a sudden!

Can anyone advise?

Many thanks

Try saving that as a jpeg, some png's get messed up when posting like yours did.

Does it get powered when you start PC? Try DVD's power and data cables on HDD.

But does it get powered? You should be able to feel it with your fingers. If it does, try another SATA port.

Also try loading defaults in BIOS (either first screen or exit menu). And see if it is recognized in BIOS too while you are in it.

Yes just tried rebooting the pc. I can feel that it is powering up but it isnt seen in the bios setting even though i have tried different cables. I have tried a new HDD, it sees that but not the one i am looking for which has a lot of important files on it

You won't be able to see it in Windows if BIOS doesn't recognize it. Last thing that comes to my mind is try it on a different PC.

I will ask again since I haven't seen in your reply, did you load defaults in BIOS?
