Solved Only one fan is spinning on my dual-fan GPU

As per subject above. I have this kind of GPU: Vapor-X R9 270X 2G D5

My question is, is it normal for a dual-fan GPU running with one fan when I fire up my PC? Or it will be running both when the temperature is spiking?

Try to OC the GPU a little bit and run some games and check if the other fan starts spinning.

Some coolers of some graphics have the ability to stop spinning when the load is load and the heatsink alone can cool the GPU down. It'll only spin up once the load and temps get high

My understanding is that it will use one fan until the GPU temperature reaches 60 C.

Thanks for your explanation and suggestion. From my understanding/reading on this card, it has AMD ZeroCore Power Technology. According to its function, it turns off the fan in order to reduce power consumption.

I will try to run some games and see whether both fans spinning or not at high temperature.

Yep well if the fan doesn't spin then maybe it has gone belly up - usually a bearing but possibly the winding's - you can test the fan by very gently rocking it from side to side if there is anymore than a tiny bit of movement then the bearing probably is bad.
Replacing it wouldn't be easy because you would need to find a fan that evenly matches the other one and the actual fixing it to the fan mounting surface will not be easy.

But I suspect the other are right

I thought like that too. But replacing the fan will be the 2nd option. Just now I used Sapphire Trixx and set the fan speed to max. Both fans seemed spinning. Does it mean no problem with the fan at all?

Yes if they are running like that then in all probability no issues with the fans

For the other stuff well you could very gently try to move the fan side to side (whether that is movement in the bearing or the mounting points) but if there is no discernible movement or they are not making any awful noises apart from the airflow hopefully they are ok because replacing them with something almost identical would be a nightmare. Hopefully those tests will come up trumps.
