Since having IE10 downloaded for me I get a message "Only Secure Content is Displayed" displayed along the bottom of the screen when I open some web sites. I didn't get this with IE9 so what does this mean please?

Many thanks for that. It was set to "Prompt" and I assume that is the IE10 default setting.
