only windows 7 pcs randomly do not shut down?

I have 5 windows 7 machines on a windows 2008 domain. Only the windows 7 machines from time to time do not log off.

You log off at night and come in the next day and it still says logging off on the screen the only thing to do is press the power button and shut down.

Any ideas

That could be anything. How are they being logged off?

logging off by clicking the start orb and choosing log off, sometimes even when they choose shut down it gets hung up on logging off screen?

Are there any logoff or shutdown scripts being run?
