my txt files open with reg and yet i when i try to open proteties it
does not give an option to change it

if i right click it gives an option to open with note pad and below is to chose default program but the option to choose notepad for this type is faded meaning i can't select it and if i click edit it opens with notepad but if i double click it then it asks do i want to add it to the registry

how can i create a reg key because when i downlod this thing off this website it comes in a txt form
and when i put a .reg at the end of it it still comes up as a txt file

it worked a bit but the avi video thumbnails are still showing as icons
