edit:

On the Windows Update drivers, all the OpenGL games work perfectly fine. But if you try updating to more recent ones for Nvidia, they will render most OpenGL games broken.

Just a heads up now, figured out what was happening.

I tried this to fix opengl, in Neverwinter Nights, the game I tried it in, it got rid of the flickering bars, but the performance was unplayable. Around 1 fps or lower.

yea, the flickering bars happened to me too in Doomsday. The source port for Doom.

and this happens only in x64 windows 7 and not x86, and when I use OpenGL, of cuz.

You can still use the latest nvidia drivers instead ;)

32Bit 181.22 beta
GeForce Release 181

64bit 181.22 beta
GeForce Release 181
I am using that version and still having the problem.

The problem should lie in 64-bit because I have no problems with OpenGL on my laptop which is installed with windows 7 32-bit.

the whql drivers won't make a difference since they are dated(Date Modified) the same as the beta's. :(

Is there a fix available or known? I have problems in all my OGL Games, when playing in fullscreen with the 185.20 vista64 drivers on my laptop Nvidea 7950 GTX.
Have to run them in a window and the performance is badly affected by these "bad" drivers.

Well I found a workaround so far by using Rivatuner.

Go to OpenGL options -> Back / depth buffering Tab and change Back buffer flipper mode to Block Transfer.

Yeah, it worked!
OGL Games feel still a lot slower than on a Windows XP machine, but finally I can play them in full screen! Thanks for that!

A few days back I decided to try the Windows update drivers again and it fixed my problem. Don't know why I had the terrible performance the first time but it seems ok now. Also I noticed that new drivers were released through Windows Update yesterday so try those.

Yep, somehow I am sure OpenGL isn't supported in the 64-bit windows 7.
And also, I experience slowdown on my laptop with 8600M GT.

What is the driver version after you installed them?

Well, that's the reply I wanna get - knowing if this workaround works for ATI users.
I don't know about ATI and OpenGL but since Rivatuner works with ATI cards too, I was
just wondering if it has the OpenGL options in it.

Maybe there's some other ways to change OpenGL settings for ATI users?
