Dell power supplies rarely have room for growth. Since this Dell desktop was made in 2007, I would replace the power supply if I put in a video card. The end result would be a computer that could run the software mentioned in the OP. I would also increase the RAM (if possible) since this is for photo editing and replace the hard drive.Sounds like all the machine needed was a newer video card (AGP, PCI or PCIe) to solve that issue. As it is a laptop then you have to purchase a newer model. She will need a Mac version of all her programs too.
