Opening from taskbar problem

I just redid my system and I'm having an issue with the taskbar. Before I could open say explorer then another instance of it and the icons would be side by side. Now there's only one icon and when I click on it it shows the two programs. I don't want this, I want to see two icons on the taskbar again. It seems to be like this with all programs. I know it's a simple fix but I can figure it out.

Right click on an empty spot on the task bar and select Properties...
...then change this settings as desired:
