Opening older versions of Microsoft using 2010.

I cannot open any of my documents that were previously saved using an older version of microsoft. I just got a new computer using Windows seven and updated to Microsoft 2010...HELP!!!

office 2010 should be backwards compatible

I use Office 2007, but 2010 might be similar..

For example when in Word, ensure that you are searching for All Word Documents - see below on the bottom right-hand side. Alternatively, if you touch the down-arrow on that link, you should see a list of numerous file options.
