Opening up Control Panel crashed Windows Explorer

Most of the time when I open up Control Panel it stops responding and then I am presented with the option to find solution and restart. This forces a restart of Windows Explorer. Error I get is below, any additional information needed please let me know.

Thoughts,tips,ideas?

Not a whole bunch of info that I can see in this dump. The only suspect that I can see is guard64.dll - a component of your Comodo Internet Security.

Please do the following:

Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the Comodo Internet Security from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Comodo Internet Security using this free tool (requires registration): Login
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's

Thanks again for the help. So I uninstall-ed Comodo; however, the link you have provided for the cleanup tool I am unable to download. I have created an account and logged in, but get an error that I am not allowed to download files.

Also - I am running Avast! so I assume that I do not need to download another anti virus.

I was able to recreate the explorer crash after uninstalling Comodo.

If you were running Avast and Comodo Internet Security - there's a chance that the 2 were conflicting.
The general rule is only 1 antivirus and only 1 firewall running at a time.

FWIW - I only visited the Comodo removal site once (when I was making the list up). You may want to search their site to see if there's another way to do that. This is just to make sure that no remnants of Comodo are causing problems.

I was only running the firewall portion of Comodo, was not running the anti-virus.
The two can be spit out into different programs so there should have been no conflicts between the two.

I did find and run a batch tool, and I think all remnants are gone. BUT I do not want to muck around with the registry to find out for sure or not.

Still crashing though. Guessing at this point I will just deal with it....
