+1 on about:blank. I don't always want to go to the same page every time I start a new browser session or window tab. And it's quick/easy to jump to the desired place once the blank page is presented.

I can confirm that Opera is not rendering some pages correctly. Perhaps John (z3r010) could offer some suggestions on the best way to report this to Opera. I'm not sure of the terminology to get the point across or if Opera would need any other info/data.

Wow, now mine looks like that too! Either the last Opera update, or a skin change? A Guy

Haven't changed any skins, everything is default with Opera and Seven Forums. I'm thinking it might have been the last update to version 12.11 because I don't remember any problems prior to that. Earlier this evening (before I had to leave for work) I jumped through all the Opera hoops to submit a bug report. Right after doing that Opera crashed. Had to uninstall it in order to access IE. I'll try to play around with Opera when I get back home later on Wednesday.

Opera: Support - Reporting bugs

Bill, since you've had more experience with Opera, any suggestions before I try to reinstall it?

Part of the reason why I keep automatic updates switched off. With a browser still going through "growing pains", I'd only take updates that fix problems that bother me or provide security fixes. That is, unless I've got time to help support Opera testing. ;)

I tend to turn off automatic updating with most programs also, the only time my programs seem to be updated is when a thread is started on the forum, explaining the benefits or the importance of the new update(s) or when I launch the program and I'm asked for the consideration of a update.
