Ok.. I installed Windows 7 a few weeks back, all is functioning as I believe it should. I am however curious as to why I now have to select the operating system at startup. I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit from Vista Premium 64bit. Despite there being those two selections at startup, the only one that will actually boot to Windows is the on for 7. I am just wondering how I go about deleting this.

Thanks
Joe

Welcome to SF!

No problem; enter msconfig into the start menu, and press enter. In the Boot tab, select the other entry and click Delete.

That's it!

Look at your Disk management to make sure you don't have a second installation on another partition, which is how you get the Dual Boot menu.
