Sounds like your boot up order is set for HD first, Then Lan network second.

CD/DVD (Optical Drive) needs to be first.

Yes it's an installation disk, not an upgrade on or something. :s

If every other disk boots/starts there must be something not right about the Windows disk?

But i just tried it with my other PC, and it works. :/ It works too with my gran-ma PC.

By the way, is there any way to install Seven with Linux ? I mean, with an virtual enviro. or something. I now that you can't create a viable dual boot with that because of the MBR's destruction but since i just want Seven...

I'll install Seven for Virtual Box then. Can i run the DVD with the Seven enviro. so i can click on "Install now" then choose to install Seven in a new partition ? Or should i wait and use Seven with VB ? (i guess that's a noob question)

I still don't have any idea why the Windows 7 installer won't start with an "no Operating System found" error when other disks will boot.

I've finally reported the DVD to my assembler. Since it runs in other PCs, we assume that there's an issue with boot in non-Windows system. So we tried with an other DVD. This one boots but the first step of the installation was abnormally fast (copy of the windows files : 1 second) so we put the first DVD after the second booted the PC (...). That works , but the first step presents the same problem (1 second then nothing).

What the hell is wrong with Seven ?

If DVD will not boot, burn another DVD at 4x using ImgBurn to see if that one works.

If not, use free Partition Wizard bootable CD which will autostart. Explore your OS partition for files you may need. If they are there you can recover them and possibly the partition using Paragon Rescue CD which will also autostart. If not, or you dont' need the files then Wipe the HD from PW Disk tab.

Now Win7 DVD should autostart on wiped HD.
