Hi everyone,

I recently got a used Dell mouse from an old school auction of old PC parts that still work, but they don't need anymore. I picked up an old mouse, and when I tried to plug it into my PC, and let W7 install the drivers, the system works downloading and installing the drivers for a minute or two, until I get a BSOD error. I know the mouse works, because I tried it on a different PC with W7 Ultimate 64 bit (same as my PC) and it worked fine.

I've attached my .zip file with all the needed files, and would really appreciate my help seeing as my current mouse looks like it's on it's way out. :( If you need any extra info, please post here, and I'll try and get the info for you.

Hello there!

Seems like the dump files doesn't point to your Mouse driver though it could the reason for the crashes. I found few really out-dated drivers that needs to be updated.

Enable Driver Verifier http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...-driver-verifier-identify-issues-drivers.html and post us with the updated dump files.

Update the following drivers:

Code:
Afc.sys Wed Jul 12 11:18:20 2006 (44B48D24) [URL="http://sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=Afc.sys"]http[I]:[/I]//sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=Afc.sys[/URL]
wdcsam64.sys Wed Apr 16 14:09:08 2008 (4805BB2C) [URL="http://sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=wdcsam64.sys"]http[I]:[/I]//sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=wdcsam64.sys[/URL]

Hi,

I updated those drivers, and went through the driver verifier thing, and I didn't get BSOD, and the mouse worked! I think it might have been the drivers, because I disabled the verifier, and now everything works fine. ;) Thanks for the help!
