How do you guys optimize/tweak your own computer? I was surfing the internet yesterday and came across few software I'm not sure about. First is the game booster claiming to boost gaming performance and then I found cacheman and cleanmem. I don't know about cachman but I've heard recommendation about cleanmem. Other than those I've also found tune-up utilities from this page -http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-pc-tune-up-utility.htm-. I don't trust most software I heard but too much good comments is said.

If you don't have a machine that can handle gaming to begin with, NOTHING IS GOING TO HELP. I like to play games but I have a crappy computer to play them. I looked at all those means up upping performance. It didn't make one bit of difference. So you know what, I just leave Windows 7 in its default state. No point in messing with it.

Windows 7 is optimized for gaming, provided you don't bog it down with third party apps running in the background, such as IM apps, etc. If you use Windows 7, along with common sense, you are ready to go as a gaming platform.
