Optional update for ST2210 monitor

An optional update for the Dell ST2210 was recently issued, but I can find no actual description of the update's purpose. I have googled. I have also registered and attempted to ask in the Dell Community, but without success, for I cannot work out how one does post there.

I hope someone can help me to where full descriptions of such updates are to be found, and also perhaps with the other problem.

Is it appearing in Windows Update? If so, it is likely a new driver, and should be safe to accept.

If it is a Windows Update, I'd go ahead and accept (like Deacon said, probably a new driver). However, if you are worried about it and your monitor is working just fine, then just ignore / decline the update...

A valid suggestion, but after a restart Device Manager is showing original 2009 driver and updating produces message that that one is up to date.

I have also registered and found a Forum on the community that is specific for your monitor. However I can't create a user name that is acceptable. If it is not already taken then I get create "community user error - duplicateemailaddress" and of course you can't contact the forum without a user name.
Catch 22 comes to mind!

I'm glad to have found another sufferer. Goodness knows how long it took me to register firstly with the community and then the forum. I had all sorts of rejections and failures.
