That is strange.
I too use v2.3 UTF-16 tags, though through MP3tag, and they look fine.

At the top of the tab from your second screenshot, try to switch from v2.3 to v2.4 and see if it makes any difference. Alternatively, try another tagging software.

I've had a similar problem while testing a couple of MP3 files. AAC, as you can see, isn't affected by it at all xD
