OS not found

I am getting error as 'OS not found. repeats rebooting' .Please help to resolve this issue. Will formatting the system works?

Well it can b that ur mbr is currupt.... you can put win 7 repair cd... goto command prompt.. then
Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot

May b u can also try
Bootrec /rebuildbcd
