Other Email Clients

I have XP with Outlook Express and on my wife’s Vista laptop she uses Windows Mail not Windows Live Mail and I have installed Windows Mail on my sister in law’s Windows 7 laptop in preference to it’s own Windows Live Mail.
A lot of us do not want to use Windows Live Mail. I like Windows Mail Mr Gates!

Eventually I will get a Windows 7 laptop but it’s a bit of a pain installing Widows Mail and keeping it up to date.
This forum provided great help for those of us wanting to install Windows Mail in Windows 7.

But I had to find another email client for Windows 7.
I started researching other email clients the criteria being it must be clean and simple, it must have it’s own spam control and most of all good import facility.

I studied at a lot of Email Clients and short listed a few which I installed for testing.
I eventually ending up choosing eM Client from www.emclient.com
It’s clean and simple for old timers like myself but best of all it can import Outlook, Outlook Express, Bat, Windows Mail, Windows Live mail and more.
The only down side is the free Home version only supports 2 accounts, you’ll have to pay for $49.95 for the Corporate version to get unlimited accounts.

Well sort of.
I wondered if anybody else felt as I do and had they found a better alternative to Windows Live Mail.

I like WLM myself and particularly the new beta version. You could consider giving Incredimail a go. Unlike eM client, its completely free. To charge for multiple email accounts, is cynical as there are many completely free clients out there.

My main email client is, and I believe is always going to be, Ms Outlook. For my IMAP accounts, I like to use WLM, I like especially the new Live Beta version Swarfega mentioned above.

If I had to choose a free client other than WLM, it would be Thunderbird. IMO it's the best of the free alternatives outside Microsoft products.
