Solved Other uses for a graphics card besides gaming?

Hello,

I know I bought a graphics card just 2 days ago but have decided to take a break from gaming for a bit. Are there any other things I can do online that can use my graphics card?

Example: Watch videos but make them more high-def with my graphics card? Or anything else? Thanks

Well you can watch movies in good quality if your streaming is good :)
DVD's will look very good
Otherwise I'm not sure besides the better screen quality already available on very site... it is monitor screen dependent though as just how well things will look ;)

Otherwise you can run some heavy photo editing/ creation programs like free blender... or adobe photo shop pretty well.

That is the 2 reasons someone buys or needs a gpu is to game or run photo editing programs.
Otherwise everyday computing really can run just about everything off onboard graphic's.

Oops forgot Multiple monitors someone would need a gpu.
