Possibly. Use an application like Driver Sweeper to remove old drivers. Although old drivers may or may not cause problems, you could always do with that extra disk space, however small it is.

My first post was a little lame on my part. Let me try again being more exact.
Marvel 6.0 has a old driver. I have nothing installed in the Marvel Sata 6.0 port. I use Intel Sata 3.0 port instead for my SSD. Will that Marvel driver that is not being used cause problems. Their is a update driver I haven't installed because I don't use Marvel 6.0 port.

Hi LBB, Welcome to the forums D) Have a look here Removing Unwanted Device Drivers this should help you ,I personnally think you will be OK as long as you do not envoke the Marvell driver

My understanding is no, it shouldn't be causing ( or cause) any problems. Is there a specific reason you ask this?

Well yes their is. When I use Marvel 6.0 Sata connection I get black screens for a few seconds, driver mv91xx. My bios indicate Marvel driver being 1.0.0.10.1016 and in Device Manager the driver is indicated as 11.22.3.9. With the previous problems I have had with my motherboard and it's bios I haven't decided what action I want to take. I just trying to get input to help make a choice what to do.

I'd suggest backing up a restore point, deleting the driver in question and if anything untoward happens roll it back.

Things work fine using AHCI as long as I don't us Sata 6.0 port on the motherboard. Thanks all for the quick responses.
