What kind of performance would i get if i uninstalled my hd 5770 and paired my onboard hd4200 with a hd 3000 series gpu would the performance be better or would it suffer? based on info i got you cant put two 4000 series together which is kinda weak but oh well

Would anyone be able to give a good speculation of what could occur my system specs are listed bellow plus i plan to up the cpu to a 3.4 phenom blk edition since the hexcore hit the scene i can capitolize on a bigger badder cpu

so anyone can tell me about if i decided to down the gpu to use the hybrid X-fire

all suggestions and answers would be welcome very much apreciate all of this give me a better idea of what i could do with this rig

If you did that you would be lucky to see 1/2 the performance of the 5770 compared to the onboard plus whatever compatible card in Crossfire. To give an idea,

These are the main charts to look at,



disregarding the CPU which will have an affect, but no where near what is shown in those 2 graphs the 5770 stomps all over the HD 4200+HD 4350 by a very large margin.

Stick with the 5770.

if i was to get a better card i would have to grab the 5800 series or go to the nvidia

which im trying to avoid since i figured radeon would make a fast card but i guess those nvidia guys are just on top of thiere game

Like you were saying the cpu makes a notable difference too as well correct if so im gonna mark this solved and maybe devise a plan to upgrade my card as well
