All of a sudden I can't copy and paste a clickable link to outgoing email using Firefox or Chrome. The links display as plain text. Not underlined and not blue.

I can still send clickable links in IE though. (I primarily use Chrome) I've been copy and pasting links the same way for years and I haven't done anything different.

The weird part is that this happened on my desktop and laptop on the same day.

(I'm 53 years old and just barely computer literate, so please be patient with me:D)

I believe this is a problem with IE11. Windows uses the browser for its formatting in lots of areas of the O/S. I have been trying to get a solution for about a week or two now.

We have a business which sends lots of emails each day and have template emails set up for most enquiries. I noticed that after updating to IE11 the template emails which had links in would no longer show as links when pasted in to a new email in Live Mail!

There was a similar formatting problem with IE9 were paragraphs were not showing correctly.

The only fix I have found so far is to roll back to IE10. The problem I have is that IE10 is not working properly on this PC and so I am not able to use this browser any more.

Here is a thread on Microsoft's forum about it:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-email/windows-live-mail-can-not-copy-hyperlinks-from-one/41da90e6-1099-4f65-898a-a6663be53a40

Despite the moderators saying they cannot recreate the problem it still seems quite widespread!
