Solved Outline when dragging windows across desktop

Okay, so here we go again.. I've just done a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and, as usual, it came with problems.

Whenever I drag a window across the desktop I get an outline instead of the full window, the weird thing is that "Show Windows Contents while dragging" is checked under "Adjust Visual Effects" but if I uncheck it and then check it again, the problem disappears and I'm then able to see the full window, while dragging it across the desktop, but once I restart the computer the problem comes back and I have to recheck "Show Windows Contents while dragging".

I really don't know what is happening AND would really appreciate some help as I have no idea how to solve this issue.This is extremely annoying and is pissing me off!

Let's start with a little info about your system.

UPDATE YOUR SEVENFORUMS SYSTEM SPECS


User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
in left-hand column, under Your Profile, Edit System Spec |


Use Speccy - System Information - Free Download
and/or SIW to gather info for filling in the blanks.

Do me a favor and add the word laptop or desktop to the “system manufacturer” block.

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader, Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

download, install, run CCleaner. After running the cleaner portion thereof,
follow this procedure:
LIST OF STARTUP PROGRAMS USING CCLEANER


CCleaner | Tasks icon | Startup tab | click on Save to text file button (bottom right side)

Using the PAPER CLIP icon in the top panel of a Message Reply window, attach the .txt file generated by CCleaner.

I'm using AVG Internet Security BE 2011, but this was happening before I installed AVG, thus, I assume AVG has nothing to do with this issue.

The ones marked in red don't NEED to run at startup, the Catalyst Control can be set to manual and the Java update can even be disabled. Maybe the realtek entry can be set to manual as well. I am not familiar with "Fatal1tySTU"

AVG has caused various issues too. You might consider MSE, link in my and Karl's sig.

Black Viper has compiled a list of services that can be safely disabled/set to manual.

Win | MsConfig | Startup tab | uncheck All

You are not disabling or deleting anything. You are simply telling Win 7 to not run them at startup time.

I definitely recommend that you replace AVG with the best free antivirus progam on the market. Namely, MSE.

Thanks guys, I've found what is causing Windows to behave like this, as I suspected it is the Thermaltake TtSPORTS Black Gaming Mouse driver, I've tested disabling and enabling it twice through "msconfig", just to make sure, and once disabled the problem disappears.

Should I report it to Thermaltake?

If you're still using the mouse then it's software package is likely what caused the problem.

Yeah, it was the Thermaltake Black software that was causing this problem like I said on my previous post. I know I actually don't need the software in order to use the mouse at normal basis, but the only way to set the LEDs On and Off (mouse wheel and logo), as well as macros is through the mouse software. The good thing is that the settings stay saved.
