Outlook 10 attachments sending .dat format

Hi, since upgrading to Windows Version 7 (64 bit) and Outlook 10, some of my e-mail recipients are unable to view pictures imbeded in my e-mails and/or don't receive any attachments. They receive in a .dat format. This isn't a problem for all recipients. Can you help me correct this?
