Solved Outlook 2007 is now duplicating previous Inbox messages?

What would cause Outlook 2007 to duplicate Inbox messages in the exact same location as the original and not as new messages?

It does this often, so year old messages may have 6-7 copies in the same spot and date as the original and newer messages are only duplicated twice?

I ran the ScanPST.exe repair file but after the 8 steps when it goes into the "Repair" mode, it locks up and shows "Not responding".

PS: It finally completed the repair after about 30min of "Not Responding".

Hopefully it fixed the problem - "Patience is a Virtue."
