I just upgraded to 2010. With 2007 I used to have Outlook start with the system, minimized to the tray. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it working properly again!
Right now I have a shortcut in the startup folder, with the properties set to run minimized. The problem is that it minimizes to the task bar. I want it to go directly to the tray.
I had it working just fine before, but I can't remember how I did it. I'm pretty sure it didn't involve the startup folder, but I could be wrong. Looked through my tasks and couldn't find anything either.
I have "hide when minimized" checked already. When I maximize it and minimize again it goes to the tray, but this is really annoying to keep doing.
Tried searches and pulling up nothing. What am I doing wrong?

hide it to the tray. theres an option when you right click the tray icon that says "hide when minimized." that way it will run without taking up space on the taskbar, just an icon in the tray.
