Outlook 2010 refusing to work

Hello!
I have Microsoft Outlook 2010 and wonder if it still functions just like new versions of outlook
and tried putting my email but unfortunatly and unsupringly it doesnt work, i tried doing so much into it but nothing works
Hopefully there could be some users here knowing a method that works for me and for anyone out there still using outlook 2010

What does it means "it doesn't works" exactly?
Does it opens? Does it download emails? Can you work locally?

"Not working" as in "can't make it actually work" doesn't clarifies a lot .

Why doesn't works? What messages are you seeing? What errors? What are you trying to do and you can't? Without at least some hints it's impossible to know what's going on.
