Outlook 2013 Inbox Phantom Duplicate Emails Partially Displayed
I have some odd behaviour for 1 user with Outlook 2103, connected to an Exchange server
Some emails, not all, appear to duplicate but when clicked or an other message arrives, they disappear.
here's a couple of examples
so far I've recreated the mail profile, recreated the desktop profile, and fitted an alternative graphics card, without any improvement.
The problem does not follow the user to another PC.
any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi and Welcome to SevenForums,
Is the user in Cached Exchange Mode?
If they are there are 2 things to try:
Try re-creating their OST file, just rename they current on to .old and when they open outlook it will re-download / create the OST.
Take them out of cached mode and see if they still get the issue.
Regards,
Jamie

The users account was not set up to use chached mode, so no OST file.
However yesterday I set it to use cached mode, and this morning I have this.
As you can see, the highlighted mail is the most recent email and should be at the top of the inbox, being sorted by newest, but that one is missing the From field.
The other 3 are phantom emails, but the weirdest part is they disappear and everything sorts it's self out when you try and open one of them

You say a new Windows user profile hasn't helped, if you log on to the problem PC as another user do they see similar issues?

I've tried using the PC logged in with my details, but as the fault is intermittent (only happens a few times a day), i didn't get to use Outlook on that PC for a long enough time to say either way it was also happening for me or not.

I understand this is a bit of a bump but I literally just had a user complain of this as well! No cached mode though she does get a lot of emails each day. I'm going to try Safe Mode for 24 hours to see if the problem disappears.
