Solved Outlook 2013 .OST file and I'm trying to move it...can it be done?

I'ce got Outlook 2013 installed and I want to move the .OST file. I access e-mails from several devices...desktop, laptop, phone & tablet. As a result, I need an IMAP e-mail account...I think.

So, I've set one up. Everything is going OK but...I can't get the .OST file moved. Th eost file is in $localappdata%\microsoft\outlook however, for backup purposes, I want it moved to another drive / folder. Should be simple, but I can't get it done...or perhaps it can't be done.

So, my question is simple...can the ost file be moved to another location? Or, am I misunderstanding what the file is actually for?

Have you tried Softaken OST file Exporter?
